The Opportunity

This is a fantastic chance for an experienced Melbourne based Accountant to establish a career within the Payments industry. The Role

Reporting to the Head of Accounting and Taxes, the financial accountant and taxes is responsible for supporting the business operations and taxes in all preparatory work across a broad range of activities including General Ledger, transactional accounting, taxes preparation, payroll & audit. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of all statutory and regulatory reporting requirements including compliance with accounting standards, taxation legislation, and adherence to a robust internal control environment.

Key responsibilities include General Ledger Accounting & ReportingCapturing journal entries (accruals and manual entries, posting of daily, month end & concur journals into SAP)Submitting month end data and ensuring year end audits in relation to GL are on a timely basis.Overseeing monthly transactional accounting ensuring quality and compliance with corporate policyPreparing balance sheet reconciliations on monthly basisPreparing the IFRS16, fixed assets entries, depreciation & reconciliationPreparing accurate BAS return, FBT preparation, CBC report, Transfer pricing, Withholding taxes, R&D reporting, quarterly ABS reporting, Tax Return declarationPreparing and present accurate financial statements in compliance with Australian Accounting StandardsPreparing payroll reconciliation, preparing annual leave & long service leave accruals on monthly basis, payroll tax accrual and paymentCollaborating with auditorsPreparing budget/forecast Required skills and experience 4+ years direct experience in a similar roleCA / CPA qualified or recognised equivalentRelevant tertiary qualificationAdvanced skills with Microsoft Excel, Word, and database managementStrong technical accounting & taxes knowledge and skillsAbility to work independently and as a member of a team, as required.Good written and oral communication skillsProfessional work ethic, intelligence, and self-awarenessNext level attention to detail Benefits:
