Our client is a dynamic and growing organisation within the financial services industry.
They are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Financial Accountant to join the finance team.
This role is ideal for someone with experience in bookkeeping and accounting who is ready to take on more responsibility and keen to work in financial services.
The Financial Accountant will support the Financial Controller in all aspects of financial reporting and management, ensuring whilst ensuring all transactional accounting and tax compliance processes are running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain accurate financial records and ensure that financial transactions are properly recorded.Assist with the preparation of financial statements, including profit and loss accounts, budgets, cash flows, and balance sheets.Reconcile bank statements and accounts payable/receivable ledgers.Process invoices, payments, and expenses in a timely and accurate manner.Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.Assist with tax returns and ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations.Monitor and report on company financial performance, identifying trends and variances.Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial data and reporting.Provide support during audits and assist with the preparation of audit documentation.Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping.Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.Proficiency in accounting software.Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to meet deadlines.Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples are encouraged to apply.

Salary: AUD110,000 - AUD120,000 per annum + + super
