You'll also identify opportunities to streamline processes and provide valuable financial insights to drive strategic decisions.Based in Mascot, NSW, this role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a global leader in aviation services and excel in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.Your activitiesPreparing accurate financial statements and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards.Processing journal entries and reconciling general ledger accounts.Conducting variance analysis to support strategic decision-making.Managing end-of-month and year-end processes, including tax compliance.Handling GST, BAS submissions, and payroll tax payments.Maintaining and reconciling the Fixed Asset Register and calculating depreciation.Monitoring cash flow by preparing cash flow statements.Supporting audit processes by providing accurate financial documentation.Identifying opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiencies.Your profileProven experience in financial reporting, journal entry processing, and general ledger reconciliation.Experience managing end-of-month and year-end accounting processes.Familiarity with tax compliance, including GST, BAS submissions, and payroll tax reporting.Previous experience maintaining and reconciling Fixed Asset Registers and calculating asset depreciation.Demonstrated experience preparing cash flow statements and managing cash flow forecasting.Prior experience supporting or leading audit processes and providing financial documentation.Experience identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency.Strong background in using accounting software and Microsoft Excel (intermediate skills, including VLOOKUPs and PivotTables).Accounting degree or qualifications, or experience working toward completing a relevant qualification.Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams and manage competing priorities in a deadline-driven environment.What we offerPermanent Full-Time position.Opportunities for career advancement.Accrual of annual and personal leave.Comprehensive training and ongoing support provided.At Swissport, we believe in diversity, equal opportunity, and the power of our values to drive our success.
