The new Western Harbour Tunnel (WHT) will connect to WestConnex at the Rozelle Interchange, cross underneath Sydney Harbour between Birchgrove and Waverton, and connect with the Warringah Freeway near North Sydney.Project scope includes:Construction of approximately 4.8 kilometres of mainline tunnels with three lanes in each direction.Civil, Mechanical and Electrical fitout of Stage 1 and Stage 2 tunnels.Surface level work, including on and off ramps and tie-in work to the Warringah Freeway.In line with the above, ACCIONA is now looking for a Senior Financial Accountant to join the team at our main office in North Sydney. Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Senior Financial Accountant will be responsible for the Financial and Tax reporting, Cash and Treasury management, Financial system maintenance, and Governance on the WHT project. You'll play a vital part in keeping our financial operations efficient and reliable.Key Accountabilities for the Position:Cash and Treasury management – Short and long term Cashflow forecasting and reporting, management of FX and establishment of Bank Guarantees where applicable.Statutory Financial Reporting - Lead the preparation of end-of-month Financial reporting and management of SAP General ledger.Tax reporting for income tax, FBT, and GST with support from ACCIONA Tax Services. Manage interactions with tax departments and assist with enquiries as needed.Client Billing and Accounts Receivable function.Fixed Asset Management and Disposal – Ensuring the appropriate governance and process has been followed and the current position is recorded and reconciled.Involved in the establishment of Inventory management system and incorporation into monthly financial reporting.Manage and mentor junior members of the team.Required Skills and CompetenciesCapability & Experience You Will Need to Have:Chartered Accountant (CA) or CPA Qualified.Strong understanding and experience of financial systems such as SAP.Strong attention to detail and composure working in a high-paced environment.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.What We OfferAt ACCIONA, we offer a dynamic and challenging work environment where our employees can grow and develop their careers.
