This role involves preparing financial statements, conducting internal audits, partnering with the external auditor, and collaborating with various departments to maintain financial integrity.Key Responsibilities:Preparing and analysing consolidated monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, and ensuring that the statutory annual reports comply with accounting standards and regulations.Perform month end and year end close processes. This includes preparing various accounting journals, accruals, adjustments and submission of financial results into St John's reporting platform as per reporting timetable.Responsible for entering and monitoring new and existing leases in the Lease schedule, preparing month end lease journals and timely submission of lease reporting.Involvement in the budgeting and forecasting process, collaborating with Operations / Support function departments to establish financial goals and developing forecasts based on historical data and future expectations.Assist with the timely preparation and lodgement of monthly BAS returns.Assist in audit preparation and liaise with external auditors.Responsible for the maintenance of fixed assets register and depreciation calculations.Prepare various ad hoc reports from Finance, perform data analysis, and produce meaningful and useful financial reports as the need arises.Support with other ad-hoc projects or priorities that may support operational and business success as required.Create CAPEX reports with actuals and forecasts for presentations and overview the management of the Fixed Asset Clearing account.Oversee accounts payable function.Our Ideal Candidate will have:Tertiary qualified in Accounting, Commerce, Finance or equivalent Business discipline.Minimum of 5 years' experience post CA/CPA qualification.Minimum of 3 years in an equivalent role.Proficiency in Excel, Intermediate to Advance level.Intermediate Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook skills.External Audit experience either in a business or on an audit team.Strong capability to problem solve, meet deadlines and organise competing priorities.What we offer:Competitive market remuneration and salary packaging benefit.Working in an engaged, collaborative, and supportive team environment.The ability to make a difference working for an organisation that assists in saving lives within our communities.About St John Ambulance NSW:Every day, Australians are at risk of illness, injuries and potentially life-threatening situations at home, in the workplace and the community.
