With an expanding portfolio, we currently employ approximately 3000 staff across Australia and have operated in all sectors of the security industry for over 20 years, providing peace of mind in an ever changing and challenging environment.About the positionThe Financial Accountant will join our team based in Mulgrave and be responsible for ensuring compliance with accounting standards and statutory obligations, overseeing the general ledgers and provide financial support and guidance to our finance team and the broader business.
This position will be responsible for:Overseeing the General Ledgers, maintaining balance sheet reconciliations and performing analyses.Review and validate accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll inputs.Support the finance team with financial guidance and expertise.Assist with month-end processes and P&L reviews.Collaborate on audit functions and maintain audit workpapers.Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and statutory obligations.Prepare financial accounts for ATO and ASIC lodgements.Assist in preparing and lodging Business Activity Statements and Payroll Tax returns.Perform accounting functions and prepare monthly financial reports.Conduct data gathering and accurate financial analysis.Work on special projects as assigned.Collaborate with stakeholders to review and report on business performance.We are looking for someone who is a team player, possess a can-do attitude, likes to think outside the box and enjoy a challenge and variety.
To be successful in this role you will have:A bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Business, or related field.CA/CPA qualification or working towards certification.4+ years' experience in a similar role.Proficiency in Microsoft Business Central, Power Bi, and advanced Excel highly desiredStrong team collaboration skills.Accountability in meeting commitments and timelines.Empathy and compassion towards others.
