The Finance team lead (Australia and New Zealand) is the 2IC of the Finance and Operation Manager, who will provide strong financial leadership to ensure Australia and New Zealand business delivers its financial objectives and execute plans to improve profitability.. 
Position Accountability  Establish and maintain effective financial management ensuring sound business practices, compliance with internal controls and statutory requirements.  Review and analysis business cases and provide recommendations and advice relating to commercial viability and allocation of resources.  Lead the Finance team to achieve optimal performance, including the management of resourcing, performance management, and facilitation of ongoing professional development.  Ensuring that financial metrics are achieved for the Australian and New Zealand business. Responsibilities:  Take ownership of leading the finance function including timely and accurate collating, preparing, and interpreting of reports, forecasts, accounts, commentaries and financial statements for monthly and annual financial reporting periods, as well as annual audit activities.  Provide financial / commercial insight and analysis to support decision making. Ensure the timely and accurate statutory returns and other statutory compliance tasks. In particular, company tax, BAS, FBT, Payroll Tax and PAYG. Work with senior management to develop and implement price and discounting strategy. Support quarterly sales forecast and OPEX forecast.  Oversee accounts payable, receivable and payroll function Coding of financial transactions to appropriate accounts. And ensure monthly reconciliations are performed for general ledger accounts.  Identify training requirements for staff under direct control and organise appropriate training / Professional Development. Ensure an effective, efficient, and cooperative interface between finance team and other departments.  Assistance in management of ISO 9001 and internal audits and compliance or similar standard. Essential Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field CPA, Chartered Accountant or equivalent. +6 years of accounting/financial analysis experience (preferably a combination of Large Accounting/Audit Organization and with a publicly traded organization); at least 3 years of relevant international experience Excellent analytical skills and proficiency in Excel Strong understanding of accounting standards, regulations, and guidelines. Highly Desirable Experience and Qualifications: Experience in a finance function that ideally involves subscription business models, has a mix of hardware, software and services as part of the company's total offerings. Experience implementing new systems, policies, procedures, and controls, in a multi-national environment. Experience is in the medical device or Pharma industry is highly preferred.  Excellent leadership and oral communication skills.
