This is a full-time permanent opportunity, based in Melbourne. Responsibilities Apply underwriting strategy with respect to target markets and accounts in area of responsibility Underwrite Liability insurance risks adhering to underwriting guidelines and standards Liaise with account management and business development teams to support account management and procurement Support and mentor team, provides guidance as appropriate and takes responsibility for personal development Support the management of the Liability portfolio across underwriting processing and credit management, documentation issuance and general servicing and management of liability risks Build and develop relationships with customers (internal and external), including partner agent and broker visits to nurture relationships and opportunities. About You Solid experience in general liability underwriting, insurance risk management, or related roles. Excellent communication skills for interacting with insurance agents, brokers, clients, and internal stakeholders. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in evaluating general insurance risks and determining coverage terms. Problem-solving abilities to address complex underwriting scenarios and negotiate terms with stakeholders. Customer-centric approach to understanding client needs and providing responsive service. Demonstrated experience and knowledge of Pricing and Portfolio Management. An insurance qualification e.g.
