Finance Project Lead - Workday Financials | Long Contract

The Role This is a program which will support and manage implementation of a Workday Financials platform and report into the Program Lead who has a positive management style, a view over the operations and a forward-thinking mindset for this company.
In addition to the management of the program, the role will involve offering insightful advice to the ELT regarding process enhancements around the existing finance process and how it aligns to the Workday Financials product.
It requires a functional finance lead to help with the following specific responsibilities: Managing finance stream of the program, working with high number of stakeholders across finance, technology and the business Finance Functional Leadership: Lead the finance functional design, collaborating with stakeholders and guiding implementation.
Solution Design and Configuration: Oversee the functional design of the Workday Financials system, ensuring it aligns with accounting standards, regulatory compliance, and the specific financial needs of the organisation.
Testing & Validation: Functional lead on developing test plans to ensure accurate functionality and data integrity.
Stakeholder Engagement: Facilitate training and change management for seamless user adoption.
Post-Go-Live Support: Provide ongoing support to optimize system performance post-launch.
Managing the data migration focusing on general ledger and operational data Facilitating UAT and internal testing Planning and delivering training to business stakeholders This is a role which will allow an individual to put their project and business partnering skills to the test in a positive and dynamic environment.
This opportunity will see a well-rounded project manager and functional consultant looking to further their career in Workday programs.
Your Profile You will be an individual with a strong background in Financials / ERP and Workday programs and implementations.
You must be able to demonstrate the highest levels of communication to non-technical stakeholder and be able to present written and visual communications to senior leadership.
You must have Workday experience and experience in mid-tier Financials / ERP Programs.
You will have experience working within a vibrant, fast-paced environment and be a strong communicator who can present to senior executives.
You will be comfortable liaising with business stakeholders and external consultancies at various levels and understand what their requirements are and how IT will enable strategic and commercial outcomes.
