About the Role We have an exciting opportunity to join Metcash as a Finance Platforms IT Lead. In this role, you will provide leadership to finance, business analysts and project teams to review, design and deliver solutions for the Metcash finance team. You will ensure IT solutions are capable of delivering future finance strategies.

In this Role Work closely with Finance stakeholder groups to understand their business, processes and information needs to formalise business requirements for existing and new IT solutions.Identify opportunities to standardise, simplify and automate financial processes using technology.Work closely with the Finance and Information Services teams to integrate financial software, tools and applications on an ongoing basis and resolve any software defects expeditiously.Collaborate with external vendors and services providers to ensure effective implementation, support, and alignment with business needs.Oversee system upgrades and enhancements to ensure optimal performance.Develop and maintain strong ITGC's and Operating Procedures for business systems within the Finance Division.Support senior leadership team to extract, analyse and interpret data for strategic decision making.Work with the Business Intelligence team to identify and resolve complex reporting issues.Monitor and maintain data integrity across financial systems.Implement robust controls and reconciliation processes to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.Contribute to training and development of staff in the use of financial systems. You're Likely a Match if you have: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems or related field.Experience in finance systems management, with a proven track record of successfully implementing and optimising financial software solutions.Working knowledge of accounting software and analytics tools, detailed knowledge of TM1, Microsoft D365, Pronto, PowerBI preferred.Strong understanding of financial functions, procedures, and accounting principles.Meticulous attention to detail to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance.Understanding of controls and risk within a financial environment.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills including the ability to identify gaps and issues and develop solutions.Sound experience in test planning, execution and user acceptance testing.Demonstrated expertise in designing business workflow and process automation.Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated capability of explaining technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.Demonstrated leadership experience, with the ability to lead and collaborate across functions, and drive change within the organisation.
