About us Court Services Victoria provides corporate services and facilities to support the performance of the judicial, quasi-judicial and administrative functions of Victoria's courts and tribunal, Judicial College and Judicial Commission.
Collectively, Victoria's Supreme, County, Magistrates', Children's, and Coroners courts, the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT), the Judicial College of Victoria, the Judicial Commission of Victoria, and Court Services Victoria (CSV) are referred to as the 'Courts Group'.

About the role Reporting to the financial controller you will: * Support procurement activities, including managing purchase orders and accounts payable processes as appropriate and work with the Financial Accountant to provide feedback and input into ongoing financial improvement initiatives.
* Review and reconcile expenditure accounts and supplier invoices.
* Participation in general ledger analysis and cost allocation.
* Contribute to the effective performance of month end financial processes and activities under the guidance of the Financial Accountant.
* Contribute to the preparation of BAS and Payroll Tax obligations, and other financial legislative required as required.
* Assist in the preparation of timely and accurate cash forecasts to DTF as required.
* Assist with the preparation of the annual financial statements.
* Assist with the preparation of the FBT return and other external reporting requirements.
* Establish and maintain positive relationships with internal stakeholders across the Finance team and broader Courts Group, as well as external stakeholders relevant to the primary duties of the role.
* Work with the Financial Accountant and colleagues across the Finance team to provide feedback and input into ongoing financial continuous improvement initiatives and participate in meetings and debriefs as required.
* Support the Financial Accountant in coordination activities relating to various finance duties as directed.
About you * Good financial analysis skills and demonstrated experience working in a finance function, preferably in a public sector environment.
* Understanding of general accounting controls, compliance requirements and general financial activity such as journal processing, cost allocations etc.
* Demonstrated expertise with the Microsoft Office Suite – Excel, PowerPoint etc.
