We are committed to maintaining high standards of service and operations, and our team is key to making this happen. We are currently looking for a detail-oriented Finance Officer to join our team. 
About the Role We are seeking a skilled Finance Officer with experience across Accounts Payable and Receivable to supervise day-to-day finance activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling accounts, and maintaining accurate financial records. You will work closely with our external accountants, finance, and operations teams to ensure smooth and efficient financial processes.
Key Responsibilities: Debt collection;Manage accounts payable queries;Manage accounts receivable queries;Assist with month end duties;Reporting (aged debtors etc);Review GL coding of all transactions for accuracy;Preparation of timesheets for payroll;Bank account and credit card reconciliations;Vendor statement reconciliations;Assist with preparation of financial reports;Liaise with Operations team and customers to ensure invoicing is completed on time;Liaise with external accountants as needed.Ensure compliance with tax obligations, including BAS and GST reporting.Provide ad-hoc financial support as needed.Skills & Experience: Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar financial role, ideally within the transport industry.Strong knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping practices.Proficiency with accounting software (XERO).Experience with payroll and taxation requirements.Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.Proven ability to delegate tasks and provide guidance to less experienced staff members.Certificate IV in Bookkeeping or equivalent qualification (preferred).What We Offer: A supportive and collaborative work environment.Competitive salaryOpportunity to work with a growing and dynamic transport business.How to Apply: If you are a motivated and experienced finance officer looking for a permanent part time arrangement, we want to hear from you!
