Sweet Potatoes Australia is seeking a talented all-rounded Finance Officer to join our Finance team.The Finance Officer will play a dynamic role supporting the overall Finance function, this includes working closely with all departments within the organisation to ensure financial tasks are maintained and processed in a timely, compliant, and effective manner.This role will perform duties in all aspects of financial processing duties with primary accountability for the Accounts Payable function and a further emphasis on Accounts Receivable processing.The Finance team also has an integral alliance within the Support Services team that has a diverse and critical function to coordinate the supply chain activities, sale, and distribution of finished goods.Tasks & ResponsibilitiesAccounts PayableProcess accounts payable invoices and expense claims for payment by matching and verifying with purchase orders.Ensure accounts payable invoices and expense claims are accurate, cost coded appropriately and authorised for payment including Credit card expense reconciliation.Enter the Purchasing Pricing for the Grower vendors from the Return to Grower calculations and processes to ensure accurate creation of Growers RCTI invoices.Ensure completeness and accuracy of data entry, including general ledger coding and review of GST applied, files electronically attached in ERP and reconciliation of control account.Preparing Weekly payment run.Responds to enquiries from internal departments and Vendor Finance contacts.Accounts ReceivableMaintain Customer pricing lists in the ERP system in liaison with the approved pricing received from the Sales team.Convert Shipped Sales orders; review pricing to create accurate and complete Sales invoices.Assist with Sales Order administration including order creation, manage changes ensuring guideline allocations are maintained in liaison with Operations.Run and distribute Customer Debtor Statements & follow up overdue payments.Liaise on Customer enquiries received with the various internal departments and communicate with Customer Finance contacts.EOM & ReportingPerform Weekly reporting for Sales and Accounts Receivable activity.Perform various EOM journal pertaining to Accounts Payable.GeneralMake recommendations for continual process improvements and ensures that procedures are documented.Flexibility to work with support services demand to assist with holiday resource planning.Skills & experienceMinimum 5 years' experience in a Finance officer role.Strong bookkeeping background is highly desirable.Strong organisational and ability to apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.Proficiency in ERP software and Microsoft Office.Strong experience in Excel spreadsheets.Demonstrated ability to work independently, recognise issues and use initiative to identify and discuss proposed solutions.Strong customer-focus with the ability to develop relationships.Self-motivated with a methodical and accurate work approach.About UsSweet Potatoes Australia is a joint venture between Greensill Farming Group and Holt Farming.
