Job Description The Finance Manager plays a key leadership role, overseeing GOTAFE's Financial Accounting team to deliver high-quality financial services and advice.
This critical position supports GOTAFE leaders and staff in enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of financial operations and reporting.
Key Responsibilities: Provide expert technical financial advice across all GOTAFE divisions.
Ensure the integrity of financial systems data and maintain appropriate general ledger structures.
Lead the preparation and delivery of year-end statutory accounts and monthly Board reporting.
Maintain robust internal controls for financial accounting, accounts payable, and accounts receivable functions.
Ensure compliance with internal and external reporting deadlines, including statutory and taxation requirements.
Demonstrate a deep understanding of GOTAFE's long-term goals, values, and the broader legal and educational context in which it operates.
This role is instrumental in driving GOTAFE's financial success and supporting its mission of providing quality education and community impact.
The Successful Applicant The Finance Manager will be- CA/CPA qualified with a deep understanding of modern accounting practices, accuracy, and attention to detail.
Skilled in preparing clear reports, correspondence, and policy documentation.
Substantial experience delivering quality financial accounting in large organisations.
Proven leadership ability to mentor, motivate, and foster a collaborative team environment.
Strong time management and organisational skills in dynamic, high-pressure environments.
Excellent interpersonal skills, including negotiation, problem-solving, and written communication, with the ability to interpret legal advice.
Proficiency in MS Office and finance systems, with experience in Technology One or similar What's on Offer The Finance Manager role at GOTAFE is paying circa $130,000- $140,000 TRP and will offer a degree of flexible working.
There will be occasional requirements to work in the offices at any of the campuses or offices.
