The club provides a variety of wonderful facilities for its members, visitors and guests. Including restaurant, cafe, 5 separate bars, child fun centre, function and meeting rooms for the general public, auditorium, bottle shop, snooker room, courtesy bus, 280 gaming machines, Keno & TAB.The Club currently has in total 500 entitlements for gaming machines across the Club venues and 53 across the Hotel venues, and employs over 500 employees across the Hervey Bay RSL Group.The successful candidate will work closely with and will report to the Club's CEO and prepare monthly reports for the Club's Committee to review.Responsibilities and Main duties:Overseeing and managing all aspects of the finance departmentDaily record keeping and maintaining an accurate history of company's financial recordsOversight of the month-end process including ensuring the completion of the general ledger and balance sheet reconciliations and timely production of the P&L statementsSubmitting taxation returns such as BAS, PAYG superannuation and payroll tax as per legislative requirementsAnalysing cash flowReview financial reports and identifying cost reduction opportunitiesEssential Skills and Experience for this positionDegree in finance, accounting, economics or a related fieldStrong analytical skillsStrong leadership skillsStrong interpersonal, communication and presentation skillsExcellent time management and experience working to strict deadlinesAble to manage, guide and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being usedAdvanced computer software skills, including Excel and other accounting packages, MYOB currently in useWhat we can offer you:-Job securityFriendly team environmentStrong support networkStaff discounts throughout the RSL Group Be careful - Don't provide your bank or credit card details when applying for jobs.
