Driven by a commitment to recycling and environmental sustainability, we focus on recovering valuable resources, providing education and delivering tailored waste management solutions to meet the unique needs of our customers.Job Summary:The Finance Manager will work closely with the General Manager, taking the lead on business accounting functions and supporting the management of financial operations.
This unique role integrates finance and HR responsibilities, driving operational efficiency and fostering a positive workplace culture.Key Responsibilities:Finance ManagementOversee payroll processes, ensuring timely and compliant salary disbursements and statutory reporting.Manage accounts payable and corporate credit card functions, including vendor management and payment processing.Preparation and lodgement of BAS, IAS, Payroll Tax and other obligations.Prepare monthly management accounts, ensuring accurate reporting and insightful financial analysis.Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections to support strategic planning.Ensure adherence to accounting standards and regulatory requirements.Collaborate with external accountants to ensure seamless annual reporting.Human Resources SupportAssist in the development, maintenance and implementation of policies and procedures in collaboration with senior management.Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with labour laws.Promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture.Qualifications:Tertiary qualifications in accounting preferred.Demonstrated experience in financial and accounting operations and accounting standards; HR experience is a plus.Proficiency in the use of financial software (Xero) and Microsoft Office.Strong analytical and organisational skills and a strong attention to detail.Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.Knowledge of financial and labour regulations.Your application will include the following questions:Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in Australia?How many years' experience do you have as a finance manager?Do you have experience using Xero?How many years of accounting experience do you have?How many years' experience do you have with forecasting for businesses?How many years of payroll experience do you have?Have you worked in a role which requires experience with financial analysis and modelling?Which of the following Microsoft Office products are you experienced with?
