NAILSMA highly encourages Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to apply.The OpportunityThe Finance Manager manages the accounting, financial reporting, and funds management functions of NAILSMA.
The overall responsibility of this position is to assist the Chief Operating Officer in the sound financial management of the organisation.
This includes payroll, creditors, debtors, budgets, grant reporting and acquittals, monitoring and reporting on finances, administration support, supervising a small team, implementing procedures and policies, and ensuring compliance with obligations.About YouEnjoy managing finances and take satisfaction from a job well done.Have a good knowledge and understanding of Indigenous people and culture with a demonstrated ability to communicate sensitively and effectively.Hold accounting qualifications.Are confident in providing advice regarding financials with funding (from governments, the private, corporate and philanthropic sectors) including grant reporting and acquittals.Have the capacity to establish work priorities and to work to deadlines with minimal supervision.Have high-level oral and written communication skills.Can demonstrate your administrative and financial management experience.Can effectively and efficiently use information technology and programs including Microsoft Office 365 and SharePoint, computerised accounting systems, and other information technology in particular relating to financial recording/reporting.Can interpret and apply industrial awards/EBA's and payroll systems.Have experience in supervising staff in a positive and professional manner.Hold a driver's license, or have the ability to obtain.Have experience working in a Non-Profit organization (desirable).Be a Certified Practising Accountant or Chartered Accountant member (desirable).Your RewardSalary of $110k-130k + Superannuation.Salary sacrifice.6 weeks Annual leave.Be part of a purposeful, growing organisation with a supportive team.NoteThis is a full-time role; however, there may be an option to job share on a part-time basis.How to apply:See the attached position description for further information about this role.
