Attractive salary package of $130,000 - $150,000 + SuperBased in Canberra CBDFinance ManagerWhat you'll do: As a Finance Operations Manager, your role will be pivotal in ensuring that our client's portfolio is compliant with applicable accounting standards. You will be responsible for facilitating accurate financial reporting, reviewing accounting records, establishing accounting processes, coordinating audits, preparing statutory financial statements, maintaining internal controls, engaging with other business units to improve processes, and participating in budget compilation. Your expertise will contribute significantly to the overall success of the organisation.
Facilitate accurate and timely financial reporting for a portfolio of renewable energy projects.Review accounting records, reconciliations, statutory returns, billings, and payments to ensure they are accurate and within agreed timeframes.Establish and maintain accounting processes and financial reporting in accordance with contractual commitments and Australian Accounting Standards.Coordinate month and year ends including periodic audits.Prepare statutory financial statements and other relevant financial reports as required from time to time for both internal and external purposes.Establish and maintain internal controls and actively promote their improvement.Engage with other business units to identify and implement improvements in processes and reporting across the organisation generally and for the project portfolio.Participate in the compilation of periodic budgets for both the company and the project portfolio. What you bring: The ideal candidate for this Finance Operations Manager role will bring a wealth of experience in corporate accounting or auditing. You should have sound knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards and statutory taxation laws. Your experience should include preparation and review of statutory accounts, developing budgets, forecasting, variance analysis, exposure to large accounting applications/systems, and advanced skills in MS Excel. Your ability to manage your time effectively, work independently, set priorities, meet deadlines, and commitment to customer service will be key to your success in this role.
Minimum 6+ year experience in accounting in a corporate, professional accounting or audit environment.Sound knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards and Australian statutory taxation laws.Experience in preparation and review of statutory accounts.Demonstrated experience developing and managing budgets including the provision of forecasting and variance analysis.Exposure to large accounting applications and systems.Demonstrated ability to manage own time, work independently, set priorities to meet realistic deadlines and organise workload.High level commitment to customer service and the improvement of service delivery.Experience in using MS Office and advanced skills in MS Excel.
