Located within walking distance of Kings Park, Holiday Inn West Perth is IHG's first property outside of the city centre. Our hotel features 101 guest rooms, blending comfort and charm, including the historic 1902 Walsh Family residence, which houses a destination restaurant and two character-filled boardrooms.
Your Day-to-Day: Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for:

Providing strategic financial guidance to the finance team and hotel leadership to align financial strategies with the hotel's goals.
Overseeing budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness, and offering insights to enhance profitability.
Supervising the creation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery to hotel owners and the IHG Support Centre.
Ensuring compliance with financial regulations at all levels and establishing robust internal controls to protect assets and maintain the integrity of financial data.
Identifying and implementing cost-reduction initiatives while analysing financial information to spot trends and opportunities for improved efficiency.
Guiding, mentoring, and developing the finance team, fostering a culture of ongoing learning and professional growth.
Collaborating with the General Manager and department heads to support business strategies and financial decision-making, as well as working with regional and corporate finance teams on financial planning and analysis.

This is a fixed-term role covering maternity leave for 12 months. We are open to negotiating either a full-time or part-time schedule, with a minimum commitment of 3-4 days per week. Additionally, flexible working arrangements can be discussed to accommodate your needs.
What We Need From You: The ideal candidate will have:

Bachelor's degree or higher education qualification in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
5+ years of experience in hotel accounting or audit, including at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
Knowledge of accounting management duties such as payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and internal controls.
Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills, with the ability to champion change and manage multiple projects.
A professional accounting or finance designation or certification is highly regarded.
