About the role We are seeking a Finance/Governance Officer at the APS6 level for our Commonwealth Government client, an organisation responsible for the day-to-day administration of petroleum and greenhouse gas titles in Commonwealth Australian waters.
The successful candidate will support and prepare financial assessment, corporate governance and risk management framework analysis, as well as develop written advice to assist with compliance assessments.
An initial 12-month labour hire contract is on offer, with possible long-term extension.
Although this position will ideally be based in Melbourne, VIC or Perth, WA, a remote working arrangement will be considered for the right candidate.
Please note: Only Australian citizens with the ability to obtain/maintain a Baseline security clearance can be considered for this role.
Duties: Analyse and provide advice on financial information, corporate governance and risk management information for companies participating in the relevant industry.
Draft well written, concise and relevant advice to decision-makers.
Use in-house financial models to assess financial resources.
Monitor and analyse financial reports (company balance sheet, cashflow, capital and balance sheet metrics), capital cost estimates and data from existing and new infrastructure projects.
Review governance reports lodged with relevant bodies and prepare advice for senior management.
