Gardian Group is seeking a highly skilled Finance Controller with trust account experience to join our team. This role offers a chance to work in a dynamic environment, managing both multiple trust accounts, along with overseeing payroll and financial reporting.Key Responsibilities:Trust Accounting: Manage daily receipting, disbursements, end-of-month and end-of-financial-year reconciliations for both Property Management and Sales Trusts.Payroll Management: Process fortnightly payroll for all Gardian divisions, manage superannuation payments, and lodge payrolls with the ATO. Ensure staff meet minimum wage requirements and process parental leave payments.Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly financial reports for the board, including budget analysis, agent statistics, and property management reports.Compliance: Ensure compliance with Office of Fair Trading legislation and trust accounting laws. Prepare for auditor visits and manage internal audits of trust accounts.Budgeting & Targets: Assist with budget preparation, monitor expenditures against the budget, and analyse department performance to adjust targets for Property Management, Commercial, and Sales divisions.Insurance & Receipts: Manage daily trust account receipting for insurance payments and underwriter payments.Key Skills & Qualifications:Experience in trust account management and compliance with trust account legislation.Strong financial acumen with experience in payroll processing, budgeting, and financial reporting.Proficiency in financial software such as Xero for payroll and trust account management.Excellent communication skills to work with internal teams and external auditors.Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.About The Organisation:Est. in 2000, husband and wife team Denise and Peter Phillips, launched their Mortgage Choice franchise and 21 years later, The Gardian Group consists of Gardian Insurance, Gardian Financial Planning, Gardian Finance, Gardian Real Estate - Residential and Commercial and Property Management.
