About the opportunity
Reporting to the Finance Manager, Transport & Startrack Premium, you will be responsible for the finance business partnering and commercial support to the Transport Operations and Finance Manager Transport.
Your role will include but is not limited to financial reporting of the Transport Linehaul interstate and local transport operations as well as the domestic and international operations within the Delivery Network. This will include the preparation of monthly P&Ls and early estimates, annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, capital planning/investments, tracking and reporting of business initiatives and their associated benefits, and business partnering stakeholders to ensure they are provided with accurate and timely financial information to enable informed business decisions to be made.
What you'll deliver with us
Business partnering with all key stakeholders related to Air and Road transport, both local and linehaul
Presentation of monthly financial results and Business Performance Reports (BPRs) to stakeholders as required
Participate in the development of business performance targets and KPIs, report performance against these KPIs, and provide business advice in relation to business strategies
Conduct performance analysis, including network performance, across both the road and air linehaul operations
Monthly preparation of early estimates and P&L performance and reports that support results including BPRs
Review, evaluate and provide advice on business cases and investment proposals and track benefits
Provide timely, relevant, and value-added commercial insights
Providing assistance to the finance manager in reviewing monthly performance results, budgets, estimates, investment proposals, business cases, and initiative targets
Identifying key risks and opportunities and ensuring these risks/opportunities are communicated in a timely manner to stakeholders
Review the capital planning and fleet optimization
About you
Minimum 5 years of experience in professional services and/or industry-related role
Strong business acumen, analytical, problem-solving, and data manipulation skills
Demonstrated high-level financial, analytical, interpretive and problem-solving skills
High-level PC skills (particularly Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint) and exposure to TM1 or other data analysis software
