As the Finance Business Partner at Mission Australia, you will be the finance representative for the organization, supporting senior management and key stakeholders with financial matters. Your insights and guidance will help the business make informed, strategic decisions by providing accurate and timely financial information.In this role, you will represent the Finance team and work alongside Services Teams in Northern Territory and Western Australia and other divisions or projects as needed. Your ability to understand underlying business drivers, use sound judgment, and provide recommendations will be critical to supporting the organization's goals.If you're passionate about making a real impact through financial expertise, this is the opportunity for you.Your key responsibilities will be to:Ensure accurate month-end financial results for allocated states and service streams, addressing any necessary corrections.Analyze financial performance, explain variances, and summarize results against budget/forecast, highlighting KPI progress.Collaborate with management and stakeholders to discuss financial outcomes, identifying risks and opportunities.Lead and support the budgeting and forecasting process, developing models, and improving forecasting methodologies.Provide commercial analytical support for tender bids and evaluate new initiatives, ensuring understanding of financial impacts such as ROI and cash flow.Review program performance, drive financial literacy within the organization, and contribute to special projects as needed.Adhoc projects, as required.Requirements for SuccessChartered Accountant, CPA, or other recognized finance or business qualification.Degree and/or Masters in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, or a related business field.At least 5 years of commercial and financial experience, managing and delivering financial goals across diversified areas, including revenue-generating business units, IT, and Property Expenditure.Strong commercial acumen with high analytical ability and practical business knowledge.Effective communication and active listening skills, with the ability to present information and decisions confidently, clearly, and concisely.Proven ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders, handle ambiguity and complexity, and problem-solve in a timely manner.Before starting work with us, you will need to undertake a national police history check, qualifications, and referee checks, and have a clearance to work with children/vulnerable people.Our CultureOur innovative and inclusive culture will ensure you feel valued at Mission Australia as you help Australians in need and develop in your career.We prioritise the safety and wellbeing of everyone, both within our team and the individuals we serve.We are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive working environment.
