Role Summary:
We are looking for a Finance Business Partner to provide financial and analytical support to the business.
Your focus will be on project accounting, management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to drive better outcomes. You will primarily support the Operations Division but also work across various business units and corporate functions.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Manage project accounting, including profit calculations, accruals, journals, invoicing, and reconciliations.
Assist with sales and development expenditure forecasting and budgeting.
Assist Operations with preparing budget approval requests.
Manage project WIP balances and complete cost of sales calculations.
Assist with providing detailed monthly project variance analysis.
Assist with preparation of reports to Treasury and other Government Agencies as required.
Contribute to financial process improvements and assist with other tasks as needed.
About you:
You hold a qualification in Finance, Business Management or other related field.
You are working towards or hold a membership of Certified Practicing Accountants (CPA) or the Institute of Chartered Accountants (CA).
You have practical accounting experience, with knowledge of current accounting standards and practices.
You possess strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to prepare and present reports.
Experience in using commercial accounting systems such as Oracle, SAP, or other ERP and BI products is favourable.
You are an analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills in finance.
Experience in an organisation with similar values and ethics to DevelopmentWA is highly desirable.
