Make a real difference to the local communityPart-Time, Fixed TermAccess to Salary PackagingThe Role The Finance Business Partner is responsible for maintaining processes and systems to ensure efficient and effective management of the organisation's grant income and contracts.
The position works under the strategic direction from the Chief Financial Officer and is accountable for partnering with a range of stakeholders, particularly Management across Wathaurong, ensuring they understand grant funding, reporting requirements and acquittals.
The role will manage all the related project costing, forecasting and budgeting.
About You Manage the Cooperative's grants and contracts to ensure:Incoming funds are invoiced and reconciledAll obligations are recorded and scheduledProvide professional, business-focused business partner services to program managers and Finance Manager.Work closely across all levels of management within designated groups to provide budget/forecast development & tracking, management reporting & analysis, and commercial financial advice.Provide ongoing updates to confirm and maintain project budget/forecast for costing requests/journal reallocations and position management variations to relevant business units including People & Performance and Quality & Compliance.Ensure the complexity of Wathaurong administration levy rules are adhered to and posted on a monthly basis.Continuously review and improve costing and forecasting processes and systems to enhance accuracy and efficiency.Develop and maintain strong working relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders including, but not limited to Wathaurong, Government departments and businesses.Contribute to the ongoing development and implementation of improved financial reporting and procedures, including the identification and utilisation of appropriate and high quality financial and non-financial data to complete routine and ad hoc external and internal reporting and information requests.Comply with the standards of a child safe organisation in both practice and culture.Manage the compliance and legislation requirements of the organisation.Contribute to the continuous development and implementation of best practice financial processes, reporting and procedures, including the identification and utilisation of appropriate and high quality financial and non-financial data to complete routine and ad hoc external and internal reporting and information requests.Identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander.Demonstrated experience working with Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations.About Us Please visit our website for further information: www.wathaurong.org.au How to Apply Applications must be submitted via SEEK by clicking the 'Quick apply' button.
