About the Role: As a Finance Business Partner at Qscan, you will have the ability to add value to the business by creating a partnership with both operations and management, provide accurate financial reporting, analysis and other commercial advice to enable effective decision making.
You will also lead a small team of accountants working alongside other finance functions to ensure all end of month processes are completed within business timelines.
The ideal candidate will have a mix of both technical skills and a commercial mindset; with previous experience in senior accounting roles, from a health or FMCG background.
Key Responsibilities: Work closely with business leaders to analyse, understand and explain monthly financial results and assist with reporting Partner with the operations team and provide value-adding, data driven insights on operational performance and scope for business improvement Oversee preparation and conduct ongoing analysis of Business Unit's financial performance, including tracking to budget Ensure effective management of accountant team, including reviewing supporting workpapers, journals and reports to achieve required reporting timelines accurately Take on a support and mentoring role in the development of junior team members Drive and assist with various projects in relation to Finance process improvement initiatives Assist with the year-end audit and taxation compliance including working with external auditors; Assist with taxation compliance, incl Income Tax, FBT and GST; What We're Looking For: Experience: 5+ years of experience in a similar role with a background in Professional Services Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced use of formulas and function and the ability to create data insights.
Previous experience with financial reporting and forecasting software packages Leadership: Ability to build strong stakeholder relationships with operations and management, capability and prior experience leading a small team Qualifications: Degree-qualified in Commerce, Accounting or similar discipline.
CPA/CA qualified Software Expertise: Experience with Business Central or other Microsoft financial reporting packages is advantageous.
