The Finance Administrator will report to the Finance Officer but will also support the work of the Fees Ledger Administrator and the Finance Administrator (Purchase Ledger) for Lancing College, Lancing College Preparatory Schools and Lancing College Enterprises Limited (the school's trading subsidiary).
The post holder will carry out the key tasks and responsibilities outlined below:
Key Tasks and Responsibilities Supporting the Fees Ledger Administrator
Processing pupil fees and issuing invoices. Maintaining and updating pupil billing records. Liaising with parents in respect of fee billing. Posting of daily banking and fee receipts. Supporting the Finance Administrator (Purchase Ledger) Registering and coding of purchase invoices, distributing invoices for approval, answering supplier queries and reconciling supplier statements. Raising of cheques, administering petty cash and credit cards. General Supporting the wider finance team with tasks as they arise. Filing and general office duties. This job description sets out the main duties at the time it was drawn up. Such duties may vary occasionally but without changing the general character of the duties or the level of responsibility entailed.
Required Skills, Qualifications and Personal Qualities Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy Sound working knowledge of all Microsoft applications, particularly Excel Strong organisational, interpersonal and communication skills The ability to prioritise work to meet strict deadlines whilst maintaining accuracy of work Approachable, personable and able to deal with a wide variety of people Knowledge of using iSAMS and iFinance An understanding of double entry book-keeping Previous accounting experience in a school environment Application Procedure: Applications should be made using the application form.
