The Opportunity We are seeking anFinance Administrator to provide administrative and functional support on-site to the Finance and Administration team to ensure performance targets are achieved for our new project in the Bowen Basin - the Olive Downs Complex.
Pembroke Resource's Olive Downs Complex is a greenfield project located 40 kilometres South-east of Moranbah, which commenced mining operations in early 2023.Thiess was awarded a five-year contract to deliver full-service mining operations, including mine planning overburden removal, drill and blast, load and haul, water management and rehabilitation as well as construction of the mine infrastructure.
About The Role In this role you will report to the Project Accountant where you will work collaboratively towards delivering high-quality solutions and results.
Working an 5/2/4/3 roster your duties will include:
Prepare purchase requests in JDE as required and generate purchase ordersEffective processing & reconciliation of invoices for paymentMaintain accounts payable housekeeping including accounts payable workflow, goods received not vouchered and open ordersPrepare month end accruals and journals as requiredOther general administrative duties as requiredCommunicating effectively with internal and external key personnel and stakeholdersProviding effective support to Finance & Administration Manager where required About you High level of organisational skills, excellent time management and strong attention to detailJDE financial package experience would be beneficialProficient with MS Office, with an emphasis on ExcelStrong numerical skills with a good understanding of procure to pay processesAbility to work to deadlines and multi-task as requiredExperience within the mining or construction industry would be highly regardedDrive safety, culture and productivity in a team environment What Thiess Can Do for You 9 day fortnightThiess' commitment to ongoing training & developmentHealth & wellbeing rewards program through AIA VitalitySalary sacrifice options – novated leasingRange of corporate discounts including health insurance (Medibank), travel & retail products.
