FIFO Mechanical Fitters for Sino Iron Project in Cape Preston Location: Perth, Western Australia, with rotation to Cape Preston
Sino Iron isthe largest magnetite mining and processing operation in Australia. Located 100km southwest of Karratha in Western Australia's resource-rich Pilbara region, Sino Iron utilises traditional open-pit mining techniques and advanced beneficiation processes to produce high-grade, premium magnetite concentrate for export from purpose-built facilities at Cape Preston.
Role Description:
As a FIFO Mechanical Fitter, you will be an integral part of the operations at the Sino Iron Project in Cape Preston. You will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical equipment and systems, ensuring the efficient and safe operation of key infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities: • Install, maintain, and repair mechanical equipment and systems according to project specifications
• Conduct preventative maintenance activities to minimise downtime and ensure reliability
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues, implementing effective solutions
• Adhere to strict safety regulations and procedures at all times
• Collaborate closely with team members to achieve project objectives
Requirements: • Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter
• Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a FIFO environment
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Commitment to safety and quality standards
• Willingness to fly from Perth to Cape Preston on a rotational basis
