ESS provides multi-service capability to major companies and organisations operating in remote sites, gold mines and coal fields. We provide vital workplace support for people working in some of the most isolated terrains in the world, from oil rigs in the North Sea to gold mines in the Australian Outback.

The Position

You will be an experienced Chef Manager and will oversee the running and operations of small mobile camps which move at the completion of projects (24, 40 and 56 room operations).

Responsible for the dinner service and support the preparation of lunch items (assisted by a Cook/Utility).

Manage paperwork and email correspondence whilst overseeing the catering/accommodation and maintenance services.

14/7 roster - 10 hour days

Flights ex Brisbane or Adelaide provided, along with accommodation and meals

The Person

Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent is essential

Manual driving licence essential

Ability to work in the team of a maximum of 4 or a sole operator on rare occasions

Customer focused with passion for good food in a small operation

Must be practical, and problem solve when site equipment develops problems as maintenance support is not always available due to remoteness of locations

Strong administration skills with a minimal amount of financial administration and daily reporting

High standard of presentation in all aspects of the accommodation village

Flexibility to work as operations can change at short notice

OFA is a requirement, if not currently held

Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
