ABOUT THE ROLE
Origin is leading the transition to net zero through clean energy and customer solutions.
Gas forms an essential part of the energy mix during the transition and Origin, via the Integrated Gas Business Unit, is continuing to invest in gas exploration and production throughout Australia.

As a Field Superintendent in SprIng Gully you will ensure the availability and reliability of wells, guaranteeing safe, reliable operation of assets in accordance with all relevant legislation, operating procedures and agreed schedules.
You will lead a strong and dedicated team, empowering them to find better ways of doing things, ensuring they remain engaged, competent, and motivated.
The Field Superintendent is also one of the designated custodians of the asset's Safety Management Plan (as Site Safety Manager) and Emergency Response Plan (as the SERT Team Leader).

This role is a 2/2 roster and living local is highly desirable.

More about the role:
Management of personal and process safety, production and costs for the field.
Manage and maintain field budget and meet current and near-term production targets by maintaining well availability and optimisation.
Ensure contracts are applied and managed in accordance with the agreed terms and conditions and that the contracts remain current, and that all KPIs are met and governed as agreed.
Ensure assets are maintained to also guarantee production in years to come.
Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with our neighbours and community.
ABOUT YOU
You have a solid understanding of the role gained through extensive experience in either upstream oil & gas production or in related chemical/refining industries.
You bring high-level communication skills and the ability to influence and negotiate.

Most importantly, you have highly developed people leadership skills and experience leading senior field-based management and supervisory teams.

More about you:
Budgeting and financial skills and commercial awareness.
Experience in effective emergency response.
Ability to manage pressure, high workload and conflicting priorities.
Experience using CMMS to track and manage maintenance execution and reporting/analytics.
Experience interpreting and applying the Qld Petroleum & Gas (Production & Safety) Act and related Regulations (desirable).
