We are seeking applications for an experienced professional, to take on an exceptional and rare opportunity of Field Service Operations Manager, located in Rockhampton. Reporting to the Area Manager - Rockhampton, you will provide management and strategic direction to the service leadership and their direct reports, ensuring that our customers receive the highest quality support and service for their Caterpillar machinery.
In this critical role, you will: Develop and continuously improve the process and methodologies to ensure the Quality and Efficiency of the Field Service Department meets or exceeds the Business Unit's Benchmarks and Key Performance indicators.Oversee Rockhampton Field Service activities in the area ensuring safe operation, premium customer relationship management, strategic growth, increased market share, and continuous improvement to all areas of the business, whilst maintaining cost control and profitability.Provide strategic direction and continuous improvement initiatives for operations.Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and other business units.Contribute to the planning, management, and outcomes of client services.Meet or exceed Service Department revenue targets with adequate cost control.Manage, develop, and lead a team to deliver the required targets.About You You will bring the following skills and experience to the role:
Mechanical Trade Qualification with Post Trade experiences.Demonstrated experience in a Business Management role.Thorough knowledge of Caterpillar parts and products, and an understanding of Service Department functions and objectives.An understanding of sales and marketing strategies and plans for optimum brand exposure, to ensure the growth of our customer base.The ability to plan budgets for the Service Department, including coordinating expenditure items.Intermediate computer skills with experience in Microsoft Suite and AX.Demonstrated experience in the mining, mining services or heavy earthmoving industries.Demonstrable experience in establishing and maintaining mutually beneficial customer relationships.Managing a large blue-collar workforce and driving cultural change.Why Hastings Deering?
