Join us as Field Service Engineer, where you will be executing service work according to agreed workflows and in accordance with ABB standard processes and safety guidelines and delivering excellent customer service to satisfy customers. You will be in close co-operation with customer and other ABB teams, taking actions to identify new service business opportunities for ABB in Electrification Business area.
Reporting to WA Field Service Manager and this position will be based in Osborne park, Western Australia.
Your responsibilitiesPerforming service tasks, identifying technical problems, and making analysis through remote or onsite activity in any service categories (installation and commissioning, maintenance, repairs, engineering and consulting, advanced services, extensions, up-grades and retrofits, end of life services, replacements, etc.)Contributing to customer satisfaction by executing service work according to customer order and expectation. Creating and maintaining a good relationship with customers and understanding their needs. Identifying new sales opportunities and communicates them internallyCoordinating, preparing, and ensuring that all materials, parts and equipment are available and at the appropriate quality for Service activitiesPreparing all documents and reports to be signed by the customer representative and reporting work done in a timely manner and following up when neededIdentifying potential equipment failures and requesting proactive corrective actions. Troubleshooting equipment failure and making recommendations to avoid repeating the problem in the futureIdentifying suggestions for product and quality improvement and communicating them further in the ABB organization. Providing recommendations to management to improve operations and customer serviceEnsuring safe working procedures and practices are always followed including the wearing and maintaining of assigned personal protective equipment, attendance at required health, safety, and environment training, reporting injury, incidents, hazards, and near miss eventsYour backgroundElectrical License mandatory for this role with minimum 4 years industry experience preferably with Switchgear Understanding and competence in Protection Relays with Primary and Secondary Injection Testing experience.Computer literate being familiar with Microsoft and WindowsAbility to amicably negotiate and provide good customer service Knowledge of Electrical testing fundamentals is an added advantageHigh level of mechanical aptitude and Interpretation of Electrical drawings skillsEffective communication skills and ability to think wider to gain improvementsMore about usElectrifying the world in a safe, smart and sustainable way, ABB Electrification is a global technology leader in electrical distribution and management from source to socket.
