About the role Entelso is seeking a skilled and experienced Field Installation Technical Lead for exciting new opportunities. If you have a strong background in telecommunications, particularly with narrowband and in-building (DAS/IBC) installations, and are looking for a new challenge, we want to hear from you. The role is Melbourne, Victoria based and will contribute to our expanding operations on a full-time, permanent basis.
As a key member of our team, you will utilise your expertise in installing, testing, and commissioning fibre optic and copper cabling infrastructure and DAS indoor solutions for our clients. Working alongside accomplished technicians, you'll play a pivotal role in mentoring and training staff, fostering their hands-on development. Your strong communication skills will be invaluable as you liaise with clients and collaborate within our fast-paced, growing environment.

Key Responsibilities: Oversee a team of installers, ensuring objectives and targets are metConduct installation activities as required by Supervisor/Team LeaderHaul coax and fibre cables within the in-building (DAS/IBC) environmentInstall Nokia, Ericsson systemsEnsure compliance with all regulatory requirements and authoritiesIdentify and resolve project issuesManage and instruct on WHS issuesEnsure the availability of appropriate tools, safety equipment, and materials for task completionIdentify potential hazardous situations and take corrective actions accordinglyQualifications and Experience: Demonstrated experience managing a team of installersExperience within the telecommunications industry is mandatoryProficiency troubleshooting, testing, and repairing telecommunication devices and systemsExperience in the building industry installing various cables (CAT5/6, Feeder and Fibre) is highly desirableProficiency in cable management, encompassing containment and cable trays and ducting, is essentialExperience with Ericsson, Nokia and operator rollouts is highly desirableExcellent communication skills and stakeholder managementUnderstanding of WHS practicesCurrent Industry OH&S White Card/Blue CardValid Australian Driver's LicenseMust be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident #J-18808-Ljbffr
