Join our team and help us in advancing the energy transition towards net zero while enjoying a healthy work-life balance, career growth and a strong focus on safety, diversity and inclusion.We have a permanent opportunity for a Field Construction Officer to join our team located in Yarraman.About the role:The Field Construction Officer is a skilled and competent tradesperson who: Performs a pivotal role in supporting the work group from a technical and work planning perspective, i.e.
planning and organising pre-construction activities.Provides in-field technical support to ensure work is undertaken in an effective and efficient way.Utilises high level trade skills to undertake or lead field-based construction work.Participates in an on-call / standby roster.
About you:Critical to your success in the role is your: Queensland Electrical Licensing Board Certification of Competency as an: Electrical Fitter Mechanic and/orElectrical Linesperson, orElectrical Supply Industry Technical Serviceperson or Electrical Jointer.
Knowledge of Electricity Act and Regulations, Workplace Health and Safety Act, Environmental Act and other relevant legislation, especially the Electricity Act 2002 Code of Practice for Working Near Exposed Parts and its practical application to the Energex & Ergon network.Understanding of electricity distribution, including design, construction, maintenance and operation of underground and overhead mains and equipment.Knowledge of Energy Queensland's Safety policy, procedures, work practices, construction and maintenance standards, policies and procedures.
Most importantly, you will strongly align with our values: We're Safe – We Belong – We Grow - We Deliver.Additionally, you will be required to complete a pre-employment medical as part of the selection process.What's on offer:Remuneration - From $116,202 per annum plus 12.75% Superannuation.
The level of payment will be subject to an assessment of the applicant's knowledge, skill and competencies required for the position.Location Incentives –Before you dismiss this small country town on the outskirts of the beautiful South Burnett, first check out the additional location incentives on offer.

Non-Urban Zone Allowance – up to $11,125 per annum.Housing Allowance – up to $7,020 per annum.Locality Allowance – up to $759 per annum.Non-Urban Time Recognition Payments - $5,000 after 2 years and if you decide to stay on for 5, 10, 15 or even 20 years, we'll pay you $10,000 at each milestone.
