A global reputable organisation is looking for a Field Applications Scientist to join their team in Brisbane. They have a well-established portfolio of products in the market and are progressive in their approach.
As this is a field-based role, you will be responsible for providing technical and application support, and training to existing clients, as well as collaborating with the sales team for any new business. You will need to troubleshoot effectively, offer training, and provide pre and post-sales for various high-value equipment and services related to these sectors.
Reporting directly to the National Business Manager, this role will be pivotal in providing overall excellence to their clients.
Key Responsibilities for this role include: Provide expert-level support in a core business area of the company (Genomics, Proteomics or an associated area). Work with the frontline sales staff to develop and grow technical networks within the industry to source potential leads and identify market opportunities. Collaborate with the sales team to provide technical and product support, including new product information. Proactively manage and resolve customer technical issues and provide accurate information in the CRM. Educate clients on product availability, trends, and technologies, maximize system performance, and minimize downtime. Interpret clients' needs and take responsibility for problem resolution, liaising with them on administrative and technical matters. Meet with clients face to face and attend conferences locally and nationally. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Ideally have relevant Science qualifications, preferably in cell biology, genomics, etc. Previous experience in a related Field Applications role with capacity to travel at 30%. The ability to effectively communicate complex technical failures and methods of resolution to business partners and customers is required. Ability to work independently, manage time/priorities, and maintain composure under high levels of demand is necessary.
