The Position
Roche Diagnostics Australia (RDA) has just opened an exciting opportunity for the position of Field Application Specialist - Centralised and Point of Care Solutions (CPS), in our Service & Support Community. The focus of this community is to add value to the Roche Service and Support Community by providing exceptional technical support to internal and external customers. This role also provides pro-active field and telephone technical support to the Roche Diagnostics Australia customer base within Roche Diagnostics. You will actively participate within all activities relating to ongoing training, technical performance, application/instrument troubleshooting, instrument installation and commissioning, and other issues of post-sales support services to the satisfaction of the existing Roche Diagnostics Australia customer base and to Roche Diagnostics Australia quality standards.
In this role leveraging your Core Laboratory experience, you will be responsible either directly or indirectly for the timely training, installation, and commissioning of new and refurbished Roche Diagnostics analytical systems. You will ensure our existing and new customer base are supported with quality after-sales service and the designated customer base is serviced in a planned and proactive manner.
Your role will ensure that customers receive technical updates, software updates and understand the content and use of such updates and work as an integral part of the Service & Support team, and RDA as a whole. You will help foster a culture of continuous feedback, accountability and passion for making a difference in patients' lives. The patient and customer is to be at the center of everything you do and you will play a part in achieving the RDA vision of better outcomes for everyone in Australia.
As a member of the Customer Success Community, you will have responsibility towards supporting the success of the entire community and are required to think and operate at a higher level.

To be successful in this position, you will be an experienced Application Specialist or Laboratory Technician. You will also be able to demonstrate the following:
Tertiary qualifications / diploma in Science / Laboratory Science, it will be highly desirable for you to have extensive market knowledge with 3+ years' experience in Core Laboratory Diagnostics and Clinical Chemistry. Exhibited ability to diagnose applications and operational issues on analytical systems and to successfully resolve issues in a timely manner. Experience in handling Roche Automated Analytical Systems including Clinical Chemistry Systems, Immunodiagnostic systems, Hematology Systems, and Integration systems is desirable. Outstanding communication, sales and cooperation skills. You will have an entrepreneurial flair, curiosity, resilience and tenacity. Your brand will be one of authenticity, integrity and passion for Customer success. Ability to look at the big picture and detailed view of the customer to get people to think differently. You will have a natural ability to influence both internally and externally and not be afraid to respectfully challenge the status quo. High computer literacy and technical ability. A valid driver's license is essential.
