This is an exciting opportunity for a Finance Professional to make this role their own with real potential to grow into a Finance Manager position over the medium term.
This role would suit someone with experience in Pubs or Hospitality (multi-site/entity) with a genuine passion and interest in the industry.
The Role: Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you will be based at Taren Point in Sydney's South (moving to a new Head Office in Cronulla in Apr'25).
The Financial Accountant will be responsible for delivering on time, accurate, and consistent financial and management reporting.
The role will oversee and collaborate with our outsourced accounting partner (OAP) and supervise an in-house Finance Officer (AP/Payroll).
This role will play a critical part in the Finance function, working closely with the CFO and our FP&A Specialist to provide a robust and scalable Finance and Reporting function as we go through an exciting period of rapid growth.
They will operate as a true Business Partner to the Operations and Leadership Stakeholders across core group and JV partners.
Key Responsibilities: Manage the efficient delivery of monthly accounts and associated reporting across the Group companies and JV Partners underpinned by a "Fast Close" methodology. Review and implement required actions to deliver timely and accurate monthly BS reconciliations across all BS accounts. Quarterly Bank covenant reporting including ICR/LVR measures and associated commentary. Rolling 12-month Cash Flow Reporting & Forecast. Tanda Payroll/T&A system (expert user and subject matter expert) - work with all stakeholders to deliver maximum productivity and insights from Tanda. Supervise and support the Finance Officer to efficiently process and improve AP & Payroll processing in collaboration with our OAP. Weekly WIP meetings with our OAP to ensure continuous attention to reducing time and improving accuracy of monthly P&L's and internal Weekly Flash reporting. Work closely with the F&B Operations teams to ensure our POS (BEPOZ) and other systems (CTB) and master data are maintained in a harmonised structure. Work with our OAP and other stakeholders to ensure correct accounting treatments and standards are applied to all financial data. Work with Auditor and OAP to deliver our annual Audit. Review and Approve BAS, FBT, and ITR prepared by OAP. Assist F&B Operations teams with oversight and validation of Cash Handling/Reconciliation and cyclical stock counts as well as continuously optimising our stock holdings and days cover. Work with FP&A and CFO to deliver quarterly forecast and annual Budget. Develop collaborative Business Partnering relationships with Venue Licensee's, Exec Chefs, and Group Leadership team to provide insights and drive improved business decision support. Work with internal and external stakeholders to eliminate manual reporting from disparate sources, transitioning required insights into our new BI solution (Weekly & monthly reports, Efficiencies, etc). Competencies/Experience required: Financial Accountant with 3+ years' experience in a multi-site/entity business in Hospitality, Retail, or Property is essential. Experience in the delivery of month-end accounts to TB and associated reconciliations to strict deadlines is essential. Payroll Processing (or review) with 2+ years' experience in a multi-site business with a minimum of 300 employees on (ideally) Hospitality Award or Retail Award is essential. Advanced Excel skills are essential. Tanda 1+ years' experience essential or alternatively minimum 2+ years' with an equivalent system in an oversight or implementation capacity. CPA/CA/CIMA/ACCA with at least 2+ years post-qualified local (Australian) work experience essential. The following experience would be highly advantageous: Experience with Netsuite. Experience with a BI Tool/Data Warehouse such as Phocas. Experience handling complex entity structures. #J-18808-Ljbffr
