Due to the Play Our Way Grant program, Basketball Tasmania has an opportunity for an innovative and engaging person to develop opportunities for women and girls and support the basketball community. Our Female Participation Project Manager will lead and engage with key stakeholders statewide to grow female participation at all levels.The Female Participation Project Manager will report to the Chief Executive Officer and, in collaboration with BTAS Staff, Regional Councils, and CAM Volunteers:Participation - Playing BasketballResearch participation trends and factors and develop strategies and interventions to increase retention of female players in basketball at all levels.Develop regional advisory committees and action plans, ensuring evidence-based responses to participation growth challenges for maximum participation impact.Support, promote and develop opportunities specific to Girls in Aussie Hoops, School Holiday and junior and senior club basketball competitions.Assist with establishing promotional campaigns to encourage more women and girls to play basketball.Explore partnerships and opportunities for female participation in all abilities, inclusion, multicultural and indigenous programs, and events.Participation - Coaching and Leading BasketballLiaise with CAMs to align promotional activity to CAM recruitment drives and programs.Support delivery of programs that will promote female coaching in basketball and support affiliated associations to implement female participation programs.Assist in the development and coordination of targeted courses, events & competitions.Assist in the planning and coordination of the Basketball Tasmania tournament style competitions, including Primary, High School and College Championships with a focus on girls teams, coaches and the overall experience.Build relationships and liaise with Basketball Tasmania Departments as required.Participation - Refereeing and Officiating BasketballPlan and coordinate delivery of women's specific referee development, coaching and support programs and regional campaigns and ongoing support.Plan and coordinate delivery of women's specific scorebench development, coaching and support programs and regional campaigns and ongoing support.Celebrating and Promoting Women and Girls in BasketballPlan and deliver promotions celebrating success and development of opportunities for women in basketball and their value and overall contribution.Plan and coordinate delivery of special events.OtherMaintain databases and records of activities.Meet planning and reporting obligations of Play Our Way Grant program and operate within budget parameters.Any other duties reasonably requested.About youYou are a positive and energetic leader with a genuine desire to see women and girls fully engaged in basketball.You can demonstrate excellent communication, planning and organisational skills.You build great relationships and have experience delivering programs or presentations.You enjoy collaboration and are able to influence stakeholders.You are able to work flexible hours including some nights and weekends.You have a current driver's licence.You have a current first aid certificate.You have a Current Registration for Working with Vulnerable People or the willingness to obtain this registration.What's in it for you?Be part of an encouraging and successful sporting organisation.
