YOUR ROLE IN OUR FUTURE Medical Oncology Melanoma and Genito-Urinary Fellow
A full time position for a Medical Oncology Melanoma and Genito-Urinary Fellow is available from 4 August 2025 for a six month position.
This position is predominantly a clinical position, with responsibility for seeing and managing melanoma and urology cancer patients.
The applicant will gain significant experience in management of new drugs, early phase clinical studies, as well as learn about genomics and immunology.
Research projects could lead to an advanced degree (PhD or Masters). The applicant will work with world-renowned cancer clinicians and researchers within a research-oriented multidisciplinary team.

Key RelationshipsInternal: Effective working relationships with medical oncology registrars, haematology registrars and other fellows, resident staff, consultants, nursing and allied health staff.Effective working relationships with all staff involved in clinical trials.Readiness to take direction and willingness to learn from supervisors, other members of the team and other colleagues.Education and SkillsMedical Qualifications registerable by the Medical Board of Victoria.Completed at least two core years of registrar level of training in medical oncology.Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team setting.Ability to establish and maintain good interpersonal relationships with medical staff and other disciplines.Previous clinical trial experience an advantage.Key Accountabilities1. Provides high quality patient care using an evidence based, cost effective approach. Attendance to selected outpatient clinics and clinics in Day Ward.Completes all patient related documentation according to the Centre's needs.Participates in after-hour and weekend cover roster for medical oncology.Liaises and communicates with the multidisciplinary treating team.Contributes to team meetings and educational activities.Actively and regularly participates in peer review patient related activities.Participates in departmental research projects and audits.Works effectively with all internal and external stakeholders.Close liaison with specialist members of the medical oncology unit.Follows hospital policies and procedures.2. Clinical Research Protocol Development Enrols and manages patients on clinical trials.Participates in clinical trial management (if appropriate).Develops clinical research protocols, including preparation, submission to committees, analysis and manuscript preparation (if appropriate).3. Manuscript preparation Prepares and submits manuscripts (trial results, case reports, reviews, book chapters etc.).4.
