Background: As a member of the Community Site Community Helper Team, the FEFI Community Helper will be responsible to provide services to children, youth and families residing primarily in the neighborhood catchment area, in partnership with residents and other community-based agencies. Must have working knowledge and ability to input data daily and willing to work evenings and Saturday's.
Qualifications: Initiate, develop and implement programs and services to address specific needs of the neighborhood.Experience working with community structures and community development processes.Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with Indigenous and Non-Indigenous organizations.Strong written/keyboarding skills.Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word & Excel.Strong organizational skillsMust be willing to be a team player.Ability to work with a high level of independenceRespectful to engage people and build helping relationshipsStrong motivational and leadership skillsValid Manitoba driver's license and access to a vehicle would be an assetPlease provide an updated Criminal Record Check and Child Abuse Registry, noting that all employees are also subject to a Prior Contact Check.All letters of interest and resumes must be received no later than December 3, 2024 at 4:00 pm.
