Job Description Description Performs administrative duties such as answering phones, faxing, scanning, and copying documents Greets and directs visitors to appropriate UHD persons or offices Assists other faculty and staff members Takes messages for office personnel Refers callers to other departments as needed Maintains the filing system Receives and distributes mail Maintains office supplies for the office Runs errands within the university Assists with other duties as needed Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Must be available to work up to 19.5 hours a week Available to work Monday – Friday 8 am - 1 pm Qualifications Must be a current UHD student Must have been awarded Federal Work-study from the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships About University of Houston Downtown Celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2024, the University of Houston-Downtown (UHD) is the second-largest university in Houston and has served the educational needs of the nation's fourth-largest city since 1974.
