Job DescriptionDescriptionAssists and interacts with all levels of university personnel, students, and the general population.Performs administrative duties such as answering phones, scanning, filing, copying documents, constructing Excel spreadsheets.Assists with administration of co-curricular aspects of the program, including pairing and supervising mentors/mentees, monitoring study hall, and collecting records of student volunteer hours and other necessary paperwork.Maintains program-wide MS Teams platform and communicates with Honors students as needed.Helps with writing, photography, and layout of PR materials for website, printed brochures, flyers, public hallway bulletin board.Participates in/helps to organize recruitment and orientation activities for the program.Assists with special events and other duties as assigned.Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesRequired to complete all UHD online training pertaining to employment/scholarship.QualificationsMust be a current UHD student.Must have a GPA of 2.5 or higher.Must have received a work-study award from the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships.Preference given to students in good standing in the University Honors Program.About University of Houston DowntownCelebrating its 50th anniversary in 2024, the University of Houston-Downtown (UHD) is the second-largest university in Houston and has served the educational needs of the nation's fourth-largest city since 1974.
