Federal Work-Study - Facilities Management

Job DescriptionDescriptionThe Facilities Management student worker will assist in the daily maintenance tasks of Facilities Management, which include maintaining space inventory data and the department's construction document archives.
The student is expected to have a working knowledge of AutoCAD, construction plans, and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse departmental personnel.Duties:Assists in physically surveying spaces and documenting measurements, signage status, capacity, and space code.Assists in drawing and editing AutoCAD drawings.Update Space Inventory data.Assist in space data entry in CMMS software.Scan, organize, and maintain space survey documents and architectural and construction drawings physically and digitally.Other duties as assigned.Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesMust have basic computer skills, including AutoCAD, Acrobat Pro, Photoshop, Excel, MS Word, and PowerPoint.Customer service oriented.Willingness to learn.Must possess proficient writing skills.QualificationsMust be a UHD student.Must be eligible for Work-Study from the Office of Financial Aid.Must be enrolled in at least six college credit hours.Required Attachments by Candidate: Resume, Financial Aid Award Letter, Class Schedule.University of Houston-DowntownOne Main StreetHouston, TX 77002713-221-8000#J-18808-Ljbffr
