Position: Chief Finance Officer Location: Darwin CBD Contract Duration: 3 Months (Full-Time) with Possibility of Extension Hourly Rate: $75.90 Agency: Federal Government We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Chief Finance Officer (CFO) for a temporary 3-month labour hire agreement to join a prominent Federal Government Agency based in Darwin CBD.
This is a full-time role, with the potential for extension based on performance and business requirements.
Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage the financial operations of the agency, ensuring financial integrity, compliance, and effective resource allocation.
Provide strategic financial leadership, including budget management, financial reporting, and forecasting.
Oversee the preparation of financial statements, financial analysis, and risk management strategies.
Advise senior leadership on financial strategies and contribute to the agency's long-term strategic planning.
Ensure alignment of financial goals with the agency's objectives, regulations, and government policies.
About You: Qualifications : Must hold a Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Accounting and be CPA Qualified.
Experience : Extensive experience in financial management at a senior level, ideally within the public sector or large organizations.
Skills : Strong financial management, analytical abilities, and proven leadership skills in driving financial performance.
Ability to foster a collaborative and high-performance culture.
Additional Requirements: Must be able to pass and produce a National Police Clearance (NPC).
May be requested to complete Baseline Security Vetting Screening as part of the onboarding process.
Ability to start immediately and commit to a full-time, 3-month period.
