FEA Engineer (Contract) Position : FEA Engineer
Contract Duration : Six Months
Location : On-site, Kilsyth
Start Date : Early July 2024
About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced FEA Engineer for a six-month on-site contract position. The successful candidate will have extensive experience with Altair Hyperworks FEA Software (version 2019.1 or 2024) and CATIA V5. This role involves conducting various finite element analyses, ensuring high-quality mesh models, and producing detailed professional reports.
Key Responsibilities: Perform modal, gravity static, and external load studies. Develop 2D/3D mesh models from CAD geometry. Independently audit and ensure the quality of mesh models. Assign materials and properties accurately. Build studies by applying loads and constructing load cases for both small and large displacement models. Audit results and extract necessary information using Hyperview, including displacement plots, stress plots, bolt loads, etc. Compile and write comprehensive reports for submission to customers. Required Qualifications: Proficient in Altair Hyperworks FEA Software version 2019.1 or 2024 or Skilled in using CATIA V5. Expertise in modal, gravity static, and external load studies. Ability to create and audit quality 2D/3D mesh models. Experience in assigning materials, building load cases, and auditing results. Strong report-writing skills with the ability to present complex technical data clearly. Preferred Experience: Background in automotive engineering. Experience with metal fabrication.
