Manage a new 6-shed breeder rearing farm with all new facilities.
Move into a new 4 bedroom house.
Live in the beautiful Southern Downs, between Warwick and Toowoomba.

Our new Sandy Camp Rearing Farm is proof of this growth. This 6-shed facility will supplement our current operations and house up to 75,000 Ross rearing birds.
You will hit the ground running, using your extensive poultry experience to work with your small team to grow healthy chicks. Enjoy the support of an experienced team of managers who will help you succeed.
Your roleAs Rearing Farm Manager, you will oversee the operations and your team in a safe manner, to deliver a uniform and healthy chick to our nearby Breeder Production Farms. You will develop and work day-to-day alongside your team, reporting directly to the Breeder Operations Manager. This is a full-time permanent position, where you are required to live on-site and be available to respond to alarms and call-outs.
Your duties includeCo-ordination of all farm activities and production, following our strict safety and biosecurity measures.Train, develop and manage your staff to undertake specialist tasks including vaccination, shed walks, grading of birds.Proactively manage bird health, including undertaking serological monitoring and administering medication.Undertaking improvement projects and meeting operational demands.Managing the administration, compliance and finance needs of your farm.About youThe successful candidate will meet the following criteria:
Previous experience leading and developing a team.Previous poultry industry experience, preferably in rearing and/or breeding.Conversant with legislative obligations around Workplace Health, Safety and Environmental policies and procedures, including Risk Management.Self-motivated with a positive work attitude to work unsupervised, with an ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.A desire to 'do better' to meet and exceed industry "best practice" standards.Decision making & problem solving skills.Excellent communication skills.BenefitsThe successful applicant will be offered a remuneration package including salary, laptop, mobile phone, on-site housing in a brand-new 4 bedroom home, all utilities (except internet).
