Our client, a family-owned, mixed cropping and cattle enterprise, located in Moora, WA are seeking a Farm Manager to join their team. Starting in July, this position will oversee all cattle operations including feeding, mustering, animal husbandry and yard work as well as manage the overall broadacre cropping program (400Ha) including seeding, spraying & harvesting. Suitable for someone with strong cattle knowledge and good broadacre cropping skills, preferably a non-smoker. In return you will be rewarded with a fantastic salary package, including a bonus and incentive scheme as well as a work phone, vehicle and a 4x1 house on the property, including a pool. Whether you're an experienced Farm Manager or a Senior Farm Hand looking to take the next step in your career, this exciting position is now taking applicants!   Good Things to know: Family owned and run 2,200Ha mixed cropping & cattle enterprise, 400Ha cropping and 600 cattle; Located 12km from Moora, WA, 177km from Perth WA; Nearest town facilities including supermarkets, sporting clubs, hospitals, medical centres, primary and secondary schools; Open to sponsorship for the right candidate; Great opportunity for career progression. About the Role: Start date: July 2024; Day to day running & operating of the farm; Oversee cattle including feeding, husbandry and yard work; Operate all broadacre machinery including; seeders, sprayers & headers; Cropping: wheat & hay; Machinery: DBS flexicoil seeder, New Holland CR960, CAT Challenger, Nitro Sprayer; Oversee staff during seasonal & busy periods; Machinery maintenance; General yard work; Small team of 2 plus casuals. About you: 2+ years experience with operating broadacre machinery Good livestock management knowledge in cattle; GPS/Autosteer knowledge desirable; Ability to make independent decisions with good judgement; Honest and reliable - knows when to report issues with gear etc; Preferably non-smoker; C-Class essential, HR desirable.
