Reporting to the Program Manager and Clinical Lead, this role focuses on working with families to enhance safety and strengthen relationships to prevent statutory interventions.
Key responsibilities include: Providing evidence-based therapy to families in their homesConducting assessments to identify risks, protective factors, and behaviour change strategiesSupporting families with structured therapeutic sessions tailored to their specific needsParticipating in ongoing training and reflective supervision sessionsMaintaining accurate client records and adhering to organisational policiesCollaborating with external agencies and stakeholders to achieve family outcomesContributing to team cohesion and program improvementsAbout YouThe ideal candidate will be confident, possess excellent interpersonal dynamics, resilience, strong social skills, and will have a minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience. To qualify for this role, you will need:
Tertiary qualifications in psychology, social work, counselling, or a related fieldPostgraduate training or experience in family therapy, systemic thinking, and clinical practiceProven ability to deliver evidence-based interventions in complex family settingsStrong understanding of child protection systems, trauma-informed practice, and cultural awarenessA client-focused approach, resilience, and excellent interpersonal skillsFlexibility to work outside regular hours, including eveningsThis role is suited for someone with a genuine passion for empowering families and making a positive impact in their lives.
