Anglicare Central Queensland Limited | Rockhampton$97,689 p/a +superannuation + salary sacrificeFull-time - Fixed-term positionAbout the role:We are currently seeking a full-time Family Support Practitioner to join our Counselling & Youth team in Rockhampton.
They will provide intensive outreach case management to families experiencing vulnerabilities. The families will have children unborn to 18 years of age and currently be residing in temporary accommodation in the Rockhampton area.What will a typical day look like?Assist families in developing knowledge and skills to reduce harm or risk of harm to children.Improve the safety and wellbeing of young people in their residences using prevention and early intervention strategies.Engage families residing in commercial housing or other emergency accommodation, through the use of a range of counselling and strength-based therapeutic interventions.Promote and develop positive working relationships with stakeholders and networks.Contribute to and facilitate the delivery of educational programs and interventions.Mandatory Requirements:Bachelor or post-graduate qualifications in Social Services, Psychology, counselling or similar.Case Management or Counselling experience in a similar role is highly desirable.Who we are:Our truly local team of professionals have worked with people in Central Queensland for over 40 years to support them in living their best life.
